Roles and Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Actively monitoring, analyzing, and escalating SIEM alerts based on correlation rules.
- Handling email protection alerts and malware analysis.
- Providing inputs for proactive content fine-tuning and use-case enablement.
- Performing threat hunting activities using network flow, user behavior analytics, and threat intelligence.
- Conducting phishing email investigations and analysis.
- Raising incidents and assisting with security operations processes.
- Working with cybersecurity technologies including SIEM platforms such as Azure Sentinel, RSA, Splunk, and LogRhythm.
- Supporting incident triage, classification, and assignment.
- Following Incident Response Playbooks and standard operating procedures.
- Understanding and analyzing HTTP, SMTP, and network logs.
- Performing quality assessments of SOC operations and identifying process deviations.
- Tracking observations and maintaining records through spreadsheets and tracking tools.
- Conducting root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues and process deviations.
- Generating reports, trends, recommendations, and performance improvement insights.
- Supporting critical cyber incident assessments and ensuring service quality.
- Reviewing investigation reports and validating evidence and recommended actions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Candidates should possess:
- BE/B.Tech, Graduate, or Postgraduate degree in any discipline.
- 0–2 years of relevant experience.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts.
- Knowledge of Cyber Security concepts, Threat Hunting, and Security Operations Center (SOC) processes.
- Familiarity with:
- Azure Sentinel
- RSA SIEM
- Splunk
- LogRhythm
- Python Scripting
- Windows Active Directory
- Operating Systems and Servers
- Understanding of Incident Management and Response Procedures.
- Ability to analyze logs and security events.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and documentation abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Understanding of analytics, reporting, trends, and graphical data representation.
